What the extension does

This independent, unofficial extension helps you bring your UC Davis OASIS academic records into AggiePlan or save a local academic export. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by UC Davis. It does not provide an official degree audit.

Sync to AggiePlan

Sync starts when you choose Sync OASIS on the supported AggiePlan website and review its disclosure. The extension opens an official OASIS tab. You sign in and complete Duo yourself. Only that paired tab can send the supported worksheet facts to the initiating AggiePlan tab. These facts include course identifiers, terms, grades, units, enrollment/transfer/repeat indicators, exam names and scores, and explicit ELWR completion status/effective date when available. The extension can read discovered same-origin Academic Record and Exams & Events links via GET to obtain the ELWR event. A confirmed ELWR completion is stored as an academic source fact with its observation time; it does not automatically fulfill English composition or other GE requirements. AggiePlan validates the facts and uses its own signed-in website session to save your plan to your account. Account storage, retention and deletion are governed by the AggiePlan service privacy notice; clearing extension data does not delete your website account or plan.

The extension retains tab IDs, the requesting website origin, a request nonce and an expiry time in browser session storage for pairing. Pairings expire after 15 minutes and are removed on successful delivery, cancellation or tab closure. Academic sync payloads are handled transiently in memory and messages; they are not saved to extension storage.

Local academic export

After you enable local export and click a capture button, the extension reads the academic page you selected on oasis.ucdavis.edu or students.ucdavis.edu. Linked collection can also request discovered academic pages on that same origin using read-only GET requests through your existing university session. Captures may include academic tables, courses, transfer and exam awards, terms, grades, units, GPA, standing, worksheet requirements, academic form values, notes, academic datasets, collection times, and source host/path. Editable form values are labeled as editable and are not verified course records.

Captures remain in this extension's local browser storage until you clear the collection or uninstall the extension. They are not synced across browsers by this extension. The extension restricts access to its saved collection to trusted extension contexts. It sends no inspection export to AggiePlan, analytics, advertising or any other external server. Download JSON saves a file on your device. You choose whether and with whom to share that file.

Filtering and limits

Known identity/authentication fields, email addresses, long numeric identifiers and URL queries are filtered; internal academic row IDs are replaced with local references. Filtering cannot guarantee anonymity. Academic notes and unfamiliar fields can contain personal information. Review every downloaded file before sharing it. The extension does not export raw HTML or university script source, and does not execute university scripts as part of extraction. Page, record and size limits can leave data incomplete; warnings and unread sources are included in the export.

Data we do not use

The extension does not read passwords, Duo codes, cookies through a cookie API, payment information or unrelated browsing history. It does not submit forms, register courses, sell data, serve advertisements, perform analytics, or execute remotely hosted extension code. Academic records are used only for the academic sync/export features you request. They are not used for advertising, creditworthiness, lending or data brokerage.

Your controls

You can use local export without an AggiePlan account. Clear collection deletes the extension's saved academic captures. Clear before collecting another student's records. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them. Cancel a pending sync in AggiePlan or close its paired university tab. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored collection and local export preference. Previously saved AggiePlan records must be managed in AggiePlan separately.
